Bondtech CHT BiMetal ™ Nozzles

For fiber or particle composite types of abrasive materials

1.75mm Nozzles compatible with 2.85mm filament

After the release of our coated brass Bondtech CHT ® nozzles, we now have available the Bondtech CHT BiMetal ™ nozzles made of Copper and hardened Vanadium Steel. With this dynamic duo of materials we compensate the lack of thermal performance of the steel with the Copper body, and the softness of the Copper with the hardened Vanadium Steel inlet and tip inserts.

This combination improves the expected performance of a nozzle for abrasive materials and will allow faster and better builds at the same temperatures as other hardened steel choices. Remember that if you are using non-abrasive materials a Bondtech CHT ® Coated Brass nozzle will deliver better performance than a Bondtech CHT BiMetal ™. Also remember that as demonstrated in our White Paper, these gains have meaningful expression at nozzle diameters of 0.6mm and above.

These nozzles support using Carbon and Glass fiber materials. Available standards are M6 (RepRap), MK8 and VOL (Volcano).

Use at most 1.5Nm torque to tighten or untighten these Copper and Steel made nozzles.

Nozzles for 3D printers made of metal with at least one or a multitude of holes to increase the standard circular surface area of the heating walls.

Main Bondtech CHT® BiMetal Advantages
  • Higher melt capacity by increasing the surface area of the heating walls
  • Resistant to particle or fiber loaded composite abrasive materials
  • Affordable price
  • Machined with ultra-precision
  • Copper body with Hardened Vanadium Steel inserts nozzle with Nickel coated surface
  • Follows nozzle standards:
    • M6 [RepRap] [MOS] (M6×1×7.5×12.5)
    • MK8 (M6×1×5×13)
    • VOL [Volcano] (M6×1×14.5×21)
  • May be used with 1.75 or 2.85mm hotends.

Advantages of the Bondtech CHT® technology:

Bondtech CHT® nozzles split the filament into 3 thinner strands allowing to melt the material from within. In doing so, the material melts faster and higher flow rates can be used.

Advantages of the Nickel Coating

A Nickel coating is applied to our Coated Brass nozzles to provide protection against corrosion, erosion, and abrasion. Nickel coated nozzles have more corrosion resistance and lower coefficient of friction, which allows slicker feeding of material and delays plastic adhesion to the nozzle's surface.
