Superior Thermal Performance

Experience the next level of printing excellence with Mako's Bimetallic Heat Break technology. This advanced design reduces heat creep and clogging, enabling superior performance with high-temperature and challenging filaments like Nylon (PA), Polycarbonate (PC), and TPU. Mako's thermally efficient construction, featuring a copper hot block and aluminium heat sink, ensures exceptional thermal performance for smoother, more reliable prints.
Upgrade to Mako for consistent, high-quality results with every print.

Durable and Rugged Design

Mako is built to last with premium materials, including high-strength copper alloys, aircraft-grade aluminum, and strain-hardened steels. This robust construction ensures thousands of hours of reliable performance without degradation. Featuring Slice’s patented "roll cage" design, the heat sink connects to the hot block through a rigid tubular structure, safeguarding the delicate heat break from crashes and other impacts. This innovative design also enables easy, one-handed nozzle changes.
Choose Mako for a durable, high-performance 3D printing experience.

Optimized High Flow Performance

Mako's hot block features a flow diffuser that ensures a steady and consistent flow rate, providing a fast and efficient printing experience. By promoting laminar flow and minimizing internal turbulence, this innovative design enhances extrusion efficiency, delivering high-quality prints every time.
Upgrade to Mako for superior print performance and precision.

Effortless Nozzle Changes

With Mako's rigid, patented roll cage design, enjoy unmatched durability and crash protection. Swap nozzles in seconds without ever having to remove the entire hotend. Experience the ultimate convenience and efficiency in nozzle changes with Mako.

FIN Nozzle Standard

Introducing the Free and open-source Insulated Nozzle (FIN) Standard, an evolution of the widely respected RepRap (V6) Standard. With a 6 mm hex for easy interchangeability, the FIN Standard features an innovative nozzle geometry that interlocks with the silicone boot, fully insulating the hotend and shielding it from cool air and plastic.
Bondtech has embraced the FIN Standard, offering top-performing CHT nozzles in this new format.
Upgrade to the FIN Nozzle Standard for enhanced protection and performance in your 3D printing projects.

Heat Sink Design Improvements and PLA Printing Recommendations

Slice made design adjustments to improve heat sink performance, reducing temperatures and addressing potential clogging issues with low-temperature filaments like PLA. Here are some recommendations for successful printing of PLA and similar filaments:

  1. Printer Environment:
    • Place the printer in a cool room with ambient temperatures between 20-25°C.
  2. Print Surface:
    • Use the Bambu Lab Cool Plate, or maintain a bed temperature of 50°C or lower.
  3. Filament Care:
    • Ensure the filament is dry.
  4. Printer Settings:
    • Open the door and lid for enclosed models like X1-C and P1S.
    • In Bambu Studio Slicer:
      • Set retraction length to 0.6 mm (Printer Settings > Extruder).
      • Disable the “Long Retraction When Cut” setting (Filament Settings > Setting Overrides).
        • If the “Long Retraction When Cut” setting is unavailable, no action is needed.

These adjustments should help minimize potential printing issues when using PLA and similar filaments with a low glass transition temperature.

What FIN nozzle to choose

Choosing the FIN Nozzles

GammaMaster FIN and CHT FIN share the same external geometry and bore diameters.
GammaMaster FIN is made of a proprietary hardened alloy, as thermally efficient as Brass.
CHT FIN is made of Copper and includes the patented CHT inlet pattern.
Final difference lies on the coating and external aesthetics: GammaMaster's surface and Low Gamma coating enhance its abrasive materials resistance and anti-adhesive properties; CHT FIN's coating is a Nickel based surface that enables protection against corrosion, erosion, and abrasion.

Our recommendation:

  • Choose CHT FIN for market leading max Volumetric Flow with all rigid non-abrasive materials;
  • Choose GammaMaster FIN for high flow using from flexible to abrasive materials.
