This extruder upgrade kit for the Raise3D N1/N2/N2+ printer will replace the original feeder placed on the printhead.

Please Note!
On early printers an Adapter Raise3D Dual cable is required to connect the factory cable to the new motor. You can determine if your printer has legacy motors with an easy visual check. Motors that require the adapter will have a silver appearance (unpainted aluminum finish) on the front and rear side of the motor. If the motors on your printer have black front and rear motor endplates you will not need this adapter.

Reliable Filament Extrusion

It allows for a more reliable printing with all sorts of filaments, both stiff and flexibles and the DualDrive system ensures that the extruder never looses grip of the filament so grinding, slipping is a thing of the past.

Half Weight For Improved Quality And Speed

Original extruder setup on Raise3D is 890g for dual setup, this new upgrade is 425g with the included motors and it allows for faster printing without surface issues due to vibration during accelerations/decelerations.

Includes Pancake Stepper Motors

The kit comes with it owns lightweight pancake motors.

There’s a critical typo in the instruction manual regarding rewiring the stepper motor pins – it is instructed to swap the “outermost” pins, then gives confusing directions afterwards about swapping pins 1 and 3. After having burned out my extruder control board I found out that the instructions should have read “leftmost”, not “outermost”, along with specifying the nonstandard orientation of the JST header used to describe the pinswap.

Thankfully, Raise3D designed the extruder control boards to be modular; however, this really dims my view of Bondtech :/

Hi, thanks for the heads up in the instruction, it has now been changed to make it even clearer.
If you changed the outmost wires it can not have caused the damage to your controller (I guess that you talk about the controller board in the printer), the motor would simply not turn since the two coils were not connected. Normally to create a damage to the stepper drivers a short circuit is required (connecting two wires for one coil directly to each other)

I hope that you will enjoy the upgrade and the advantage it gives to your printer
      /Martin

Has no information about 2 screws from the left and the right sides. Only when I read about another your extrusion, I get understanding that screws it for adjusting the clamping force of filament.

      Dear Konstantin,
Thank you for calling our attention on to this miss.
We just updated the guides by adding info about what are those thumbscrews and what are they for.
Your remark will help many users in the Future.

      Regards,
      Nuno

This is the best upgrade you can do for a Rasie3d N2 series.
