High Reliability And Performance
This Direct Drive System from Bondtech is a high-performance 1,75mm Direct Drive extruder and all-metal HotEnd for the Creality3D CR-10s. Bondtech’s unique Dual-Drive technology in the BMG extruder, combined with a genuine E3D’s v6 HotEnd gives you a direct drive extruder with problems free material feeding and enables the use of a wider range of materials. The housing parts are printed with PA12 (polyamide) for maximum strength and precision using industrial grade SLS technology.
Make your 3D printer even better
Bondtech’s Direct Drive System (DDS) for CR-10S is designed to give the user more options – different materials; higher flow and/or wider nozzles; thinner layers – and achieve a higher print quality. The DDS includes an integrated BMG (Bondtech Mini Geared) extruder featuring our unique Dual-Drive technology and an E3D’s well known V6 All-Metal HotEnd. The DDS housing design provides an effective Hot-End cooling. With the 3:1 gearing ratio, high resolution prints with small nozzles or high flow prints with bigger nozzles can be achieved.
Plug-and-play System
For ease of use the system is ready to plug in once mounted on your printer. No extra cabling work and soldering is necessary.
Updated Filament Sensor Housing
The filament sensor holder has been reworked to have a better grip to the printer and is using a steel ball to allow the filament to pass the sensor both when loading or unloading.

The extruder design is inspired on Greg3D’s “The Tank”. You can check out more of his work here: https://www.thingiverse.com/Greg191134/about.
What’s In The Box
What’s In The Box Guide for the DDS for CR-10S.
Compatible with the CR-10S4 and CR-10S5 models
The DDS for CR-10S can also be used with the CR-10 S4 and S5, but an extension cable is required.

Bondtech Direct Drive System
This all-in-one solution is easy to install and ready to use. Bondtech’s DDS uses our unique Dual-Drive technology with an internal gear ratio of 3:1 and 415 steps per mm. Our DDS also uses an E3D’s V6 HotEnd that allows to easily print a wide range of filaments from the market with less stringing and clogging with processing temperatures up to 285°C.
Study and test was put on the design of the housing as well. Its geometry allows for effective cooling of the HotEnd by perfecting the placement of the Sunon 4010 axial fan and the orientation of the cool air flow. Along the cooling of the HotEnd, we also achieved a more effective part cooling by using a Sunon 5015 Radial Fan and a fan shroud that focus the air flow right to the tip of the nozzle. The filament sensor housing was also redesigned. You can now properly attach it to the CR-10S with a strong grip. The steel ball we placed below the lever on the filament path, lets you feed material in booth directions, during loading and unloading. Much work was put on the power cables management and setup. Everything is ready to plug-in. No need to cut or solder. The old cables and components required to be removed, will remain intact and able to be reused.
Multi-material capability
Our Bondtech extruder feeds all material with high reliability, from slippery nylons and soft TPU/TPE filaments to highly rigid and sometimes brittle carbon-filled high-strength materials. The extruder is designed for 1.75 mm filaments but has been tested to ensure performance of filament from 1.5mm up to 2.0mm allowing for high reliability regardless of the tolerance of the filament used. The V6 All-Metal Hot-End from E3D allows users to reliably print high temperature materials (up to 285°C) and it gives extra functionality to work with soft and flexible filaments. This combination opens up a wide range of opportunities for your Creality3D CR-10S.
Bondtech’s Dual-Drive Extruder
Our unique Dual-Drive technology delivers uninterrupted material flow without fear of grinding or slipping in even the most demanding conditions. Bondtech users allover the world will attest that even in prints with thousands of retracts our extruders perform flawlessly, with unmatched precision, and zero damage or degradation to the filament.
Whether you require high resolution prints with small nozzles or high-flow prints with big nozzles the optimized gearing ratio combined with our industry leading drive gears provides unparalleled pushing power and lightning fast retractions.
BL Touch ready
Bondtech’s Direct Drive System for CR-10S is BL Touch ready. The housing includes the mounting holes to attach this popular bed leveling sensor used by Creality3D in many models. You can 3D print a mount, designed by Greg3D, and screw it in to attach the BL Touch. Visit our BL Touch installation Guide to learn step by step how to do it.
In our Guide we show how to attach the BL Touch to the DDS for CR-10S, and provide a link to other Guides on how to finish the cables connection and firmware settings.
Before buying a BL Touch check these installation guides. Keep in mind that different versions of the Creality3D CR-10S and BL Touch will require adjustments to the connections and firmware setups.

works perfectly on a cr10 s4, but there is just a problem with the filament sensor housing, it’s impossible to attach because the latest versions of cr10s the system that keeps the X axis motor is full, not like in the first versions where he was hollow.
For my part I will draw one to be able to fix it to the printer

Hi Madchip,
Thank you for sending your review. We were alerted of a new CR-10S model after we launched our DDS. We are already shipping with the DDS a new filament sensor housing that fits both models, the latest and previous CR-10S. For customers that bought the earlier version we are supplying a printable model of the new housing.

So far so good. I have a couple of edits i think you guys need to make to the instruction manual, as well as a couple of things you need to update:
1) the BL TOUCH mount needs to be updated to one that has a chance of working for most of the standard v2 or v3 models.
2) the firmware selection is AMAZING – BUT – the BLT enabled ones need to be refreshed to a version that supports storing the babystepping. Its been ages since ive seen the view reset to zero every time i go to it… and its sort of worrisome that im starting up every-time without it saved.
